briana blueitt is a multimedia journalist, designer and cultural worker rooted in South and Deep East Texas.

Her creative practice is guided by faith. She develops work at the intersection of memory, ecology and social justice by foregrounding movements for land and food sovereignty, solidarity economies and intergenerational exchange of knowledge.


Currently, she is a resident DJ at Ice House Radio, 2026 Texas FolkLife Community Fellow and a Creative and Editorial Advisor for PECAN Project, a reparative journalism initiative rooted in Deep East Texas.

Her work has appeared in Scalawag Magazine, USA Today, Counterstream Media, Texas Observer, Texas Monthly and group exhibitions in Austin and San Antonio.

Prior to working in independent media, she developed creative communications strategies for progressive policies, candidates and campaigns.
